Yesterday Valentino stunned everyone with his stunning 2015 fall collection. Everyone had their eyes on the beautiful pieces and it-girl models, that was until the closing of the show when Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, reprising their roles as Derek Zoolander and Hansel from “Zoolander,” came down the runway wearing custom pieces by the Italian house.
There had been some talk about a sequel in the works, but now they have made it official. “Zoolander 2” is coming to U.S. theaters on Feb. 12, 2016, a spokesperson working on behalf of Paramount Pictures confirmed.
We doubt anyone expected to see a real life “Blue Steel” moment while playing “Don’t You Want Me,” especially at a Valentino runway show, but we can say it pretty much made our Fashion Week…maybe month.
We’re also glad that Zoolander never figured out that there’s more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. Check out his incredible runway comeback below!
Now, back to Valentino’s mainly black and white, practical and pretty collection. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli summed up the preview of the collection by saying, “We think you should be free to be who you are.” Refined, poised, and elegant are a few words that pop into mind when looking at this collection.
They debuted many different fabrics, from fur to silk, and integrated a bit of a 70s vibe throughout the pieces as well. There was a definite bold and geometric theme in the collection, whether it was seen on dresses, skirts, sweaters or coats.
