Miami beach was sizzling. For the 32nd consecutive year, this July, Miami was home to the ultimate form summertime fashion: swimwear. The Mercedes-Benz Miami Swim Show is the largest swim show in the world, with larger exhibition space and more brands, models, and designers than ever before.
The Swimwear Association of Florida prides itself in showing and selling the hottest upcoming trends, and the suits seemed to speak for themselves. Everything from skimpy to conservative and including lines all the way from Adidas to Zeki, this show had it all.
The highlights of the runway included spunky, sporty, athletic style suits.
There was a resurge of the classic one-piece suits as well as high-waisted bottoms.
Shows included vibrant colors and patters, zippered fronts, and unique cut-out shapes.
The winning statistic from the week was the 15% increase in attendance this year, including some celebs who wanted in on the swim and sun. LeAnne Rimes and hubby were front row for the Luli Fama show, Real Housewives stars Marysol Patton and Adriana De Moura attended the Maaji show on Saturday, and Sports Illustrated model Nina Agdal watched the Beach Bunny collection with her beau. Even Leonardo Dicaprio was in Miami and spotted at the after party.
So, if you like fashion, the beach, the sun, and swimsuits for days… next year hit up Miami beach for the 33rd annual Mercedes-Benz Miami Swim Show.
