An employee discount from Ralph Lauren that was shared between an employee and her family was leaked on twitter on Sunday offering the internet world an employee code to receive 65% off the fashion house collections. Many flocked to the site to purchase some RL duds and many orders were processed and sipped. A Ralph Lauren representative report to BuzzFeed that the employee code “was shared online without the company’s authorization and has since been deactivated.”
Thousands of dollars worth of items were purchased after the discount was shared and many tweeted pictures of their steals and deals. 
While many sales went through and were processed, the RL team has since been attentively managing and canceling the purchases since Sunday night, including a $5,700 chandelier and a $1,000 leather bag. The company has honored the discount for items below $800 but has since redrawn the discount.
