There is a big change coming for New York Fashion Week. It was officially announced that Fashion Week would be leaving their usual venue: the Lincoln Center. Although a specific location has yet to be released, there are a few things we do know. It will be a “new” venue, still “undisclosed”, and somewhere “downtown”. There is even talk of NYFW’s events being split up between various venues in the city.
An IMG spokesperson gave credit to the Lincoln Center, which has been home to the New York Fashion Week for the last five years, saying, “Lincoln Center has been a great home” However they are “actively looking for new home” and he concluded by stating, “We look forward to sharing more details on our new home soon”.
No more news was to be released until 2015, but now that the new year is here, keep your ears open! This only makes us more excited to see what happens in the big apple for Fashion Week!
