In case you weren’t excited enough for the holidays, Burberry recently released the short film they created for their worldwide festive campaign, “From London with Love”. Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey, directed the video that combined a holiday short with a British musical. The choreography was done by Lynne Page and the music was composed by Ed Harcourt. And the result was something magical.
This new campaign starred young Romeo Beckham, son of David and Victoria Beckham. However, no matter how adorable this young Brit might be, something else caught our attention. The youthful blonde bombshell that played lead was an unknown face. Meet the new Burberry girl: Hannah Dodd.
Hannah Dodd was just a 19-year-old college freshman studying dance in London when she was contacted by her agent for a modeling position with the British fashion house.
The campaign was “a dream come true”, according to Miss Dodd, combining the two things she loved most: modeling and dance. Here, Hannah plays a young dancing lover, across from model/dancer Anders Hayward. With, a little “Singing in the Rain” flair, the couple is first spotted in trench coats and black Burberry umbrellas. Later, the two are seen dancing on a snowy street, in beautiful evening wear and classic Burberry plaid scarves.
Since the release of the campaign, all eyes are on the new Burberry girl. Burberry is rather infamous for spotting the up-and-coming “English Roses”, such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Cara Delevingne. Yet, right now Hannah says she is “focusing on finishing her degree” and still aspires to be a professional dancer. However, everyone is excited to see what the new Burberry girl will do next!
