Haute couture 2014: Elie Saab

Elie Saab is the emerging king of haute couture and this year was no disappointment! Saab is one of the many Arab designers to have shown his collection in Paris Haute couture fashion week this year, and the result was beautiful as ever. Staying true to the romanticism he is known for, he utilized pinks, reds, blush tones, and even black for a touch of dark romanticism, and used crystal chandeliers to line the runways.

The light from the chandeliers perfectly hit each embellishment, which consisted of sequins, pearls, and cabochons, and constantly reminds the viewer how truly intricate each dress is. This collection utilized sheers and deep cuts in essentially every look, with a focus on full skirts, giving each look a modern-princess feel.

The finale dress, pictured below, is a wedding dress definitely reminiscent of something a princess would wear! Lace and embellishments adorn not only the bodice of the dress but also the sheer neckline and veil, making this beautiful dress effortlessly sexy while maintaining the highest element of class.
