The infamous perfume, Chanel N°5, comes with a certain prestige, and that rubs off on to the long list of models, actors, and celebrities that have endorsed it over the years. This lineup includes Lauren Hutton, Catherine Deneuve, Audrey Tautou, Brad Pitt, and now includes Gisele Bundchen. Not only is she the current face of Chanel N°5, but she is kicking off the Chanel Spring 2015 Campaign in Paris!
Gisele Bundchen was estimated to have made around $47 million, making her, again, the world’s top-earning model of the year according to Forbes magazine. She is a frequent Chanel model, and now is featured in their newest campaign with a stunning photoshoot around the city of lights.
Karl Lagerfeld photographed Bündchen on the streets of Paris, barefoot, in a total black and white photoshoot that was mesmerizing and quintessential Chanel. This Spring/Summer campaign, shot in Paris by moonlight, was entitled “Afterdark”. Photos were taken all around Paris in some of the most famous location, such as around the Saint Germain-des-Prés area, on the peaceful Seine River, in front of Café de Flore, and on the iconic Pont des Arts better known as the ‘love lock bridge’.
The campaign aimed to create a modern and more relaxed vibe, using Bündchen’s “natural beauty and modern femininity”, according to Chanel. The collection includes the traditional tweeds of the Chanel brand, wide-legged trousers, sweaters, and suedes.
The ready-to-wear campaign is out now and is sure to make you fall in love with Chanel and Paris.
