Trends come and go, and skinny jeans are a thing of the past, now that a more flattering and stylish pant is making its way back into the fashion world: gaucho. Gauchos have recently been spotted on the runways and in the collections of well known designers, such as Alexander Wang, Alice + Olivia, Calvin Klein, Chloe, and so on.
The cropped and wide legged have reinvented themselves and are no longer the stretch pants we remember 90s stars wearing. Fabrics of linen and satin are two of the luxurious threads that make up the newfound gauchos, a crisp alteration to what used to be.
Since gauchos are loose fitting, a tucked in button down or crop top would look best paired with the pants to emphasize its shape. Most seen wearing the trend slip on a pair of heels, but if you choose to wear flats, make sure that they have a thicker platform than the average. Finding a style of the pant that fits your personal proportions may be a search, but there are so many options to chose from that you will be sure to find the perfect pair.
With style, comfort rarely follows, but gauchos are a new closet staple, and they will be around for a while.
