After a May event in their store, Prada realized how popular the event was, and decided to offer the service to everyone. Shoppers being by choosing the preferred style: a “Fashion” Pointy Toe, a classic pointed toe, peep toe, round toe, platform, as well as single-sole options heel options. Everything can be customized from peep-toes to platforms and all the shoes come in a variety of colors–34 to be exact. Three sole colors are offered: black, lily of the valley, or light blue choices and each pair of shoes comes with a custom made box as well. For pumps you can decide the high of the heel between a 45 mm (kitten heel), 85 ,mm (mid-heel), and 110 mm (high heel). If you’re looking for a more casual shoe, Prada offers flats and sneakers in 5 different rubber soles and on them you can put your monogram, adding initials lettered in gold, so that everyone will know that these shoes are yours. Customizing your own shoes will cost you $745 (even more if you’re going for exotics like python, crocodile, or alligator). However, a classic Prada pump runs about $650 so even if these are a splurge, you can walk on the streets with the satisfaction of knowing you have designed your own pair of Prada shoes and have a pair that no one else has!
