At age 40, with five Academy Award nominations under her belt, and holding the current role of Superman’s Lois Lane, it’s hard to believe this is the first time that this red-haired beauty has been on the cover of Vogue. The December issue of Vogue stars the incredibly talented, Amy Adams.
Adams posed for the cover in a sheer dress from the Valentino Fall/Winter 2014 Haute Couture Collection with beautiful black and gold detailing. The dress gave a subdued holiday vibe, without throwing anything over-the-top at us.
Born in Colorado, Adams opens up to Vogue that it was not an easy transition to her like of fame in California. She looks completely mature, graceful, and put-together now, but she admits that her life was “a mess” when we first moved to LA and “painful to say the least” when she was first starting her career. However, Adams accredits her “spirit of perseverance” in achieving all she has today.
She is currently in Detroit, Michigan, filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, reprising her role as reporter, Lois Lane. This is where she caught up with a Vogue reporter for an interview, where they went fishing, of all things, out on the Lake St. Clair.
Her Vogue photoshoot, however, was much more glamorous. Shot my Annie Leibovitz, the issue features a romantic re-telling of the classic fairytale, The Red Shoes. Adam’s co-star was none other than director Tim Burton. Adams had been working with Burton on her newest film, to be released this Christmas, entitled Big Eyes.
Vogue also caught up with Adams again to ask her the infamous “73 Questions” interview, which she answered honestly and enthusiastically. And if there was one piece of advice from Amy Adams that stuck with us out of all of this, was her simple statement to herself, “You need to appreciate your life, Amy.” We can’t wait to see what else his red-haired beauty and promising actor has in store.
