Backpacks That Give Back: Eastpack Studio Project (Part 2)

As we announced some weeks ago, Eastpack has partnered up with a group of many talented designers to create a series of backpacks and encourage young people to practice safe sex. The latest backpacks have finally been released and will be sold starting December 1st:

Antonie Peters

At first glance, this backpack seems to be pretty normal and classic, but when you really look at the bag, you can’t get your eyes over it! The bag looks different from every angle you see it, and it was created this way intentionally to “suspend the judgement,”as Antonie himself shared.

Lala Berlin

This backpack has a 3D design that makes it special, consisting of a blend of nudity and some prints taken from Kufiyas. And although you might hesitate to purchase a backpack with nudity, Berlin did an amazing job of creating a practical bag that is both tasteful and interesting.

Jean Paul Gaultier

Jean Paul Gaultier created an orange bag that looks plain from the front, but then when you take a look at the back, you remember who designed the piece. With a colorful print of a big bird on the back, Gaultier does an excellent job of adding some fun to his creation. But he outdid himself; the bag is double faced, and if you turn it inside out you can discover a more colorful side, obtained by 3 different kimonos, which also has a bomber jacket attached.

Henry Vibskov

Taking inspiration from his latest collection presented in Paris for Men’s Fashion Week 2015, Vibskov took fragment of prints and handmade tassels to create this masterpiece, giving us a clean and bold backpack!

Christopher Lee Sauve

This backpack represents New York city life and pop culture with its spray painting, cut outs from the artist’s latest collection (Disney inspired, of course ) and some objects picked out from the streets, and is definitely a one-of-a-kind type of backpack.

Gaspard Yukievich

Gaspard’s signature “Y”, which stands for Yukievich, of course, is stamped all over this piece, and it was inspired  by the designer’s latest collection, which is about US college life.

Christopher Shannon

The different colored, overlapping scripts give the sense of multiple layers of photocopies, as the designer shared. The backpack doubles as a plastic bag, which is perfect for rainy days!
