Music’s biggest names and a handful of reality stars hit the red carpet for tonight’s American Music Awards, and they brought some serious glam to the show this year.
Even though the AMAs are usually a little more casual than the Grammys and Oscars, this year the stars brought all sorts of glamour in floor length gowns mixed with sexy cocktail dresses. There was a noticeable trend of simplicity on this years carpet. Numerous stars stunned in simple, yet oh-so-chic gowns. We should add that the dresses on this carpet were all about the rear view! Stunning from the front, and just as sassy from the back, this years looks were all about a statement.

Kate Beckinsale looked absolutely stunning in her clean white, low-cut Kaufman Franco gown. She had a major bling statement with her chic Bulgari snake necklace.
Selena Gomez was completely elegant in a figure hugging Armani Privé gown with open back. She added a bit of glitz to her outfit with gold cuffs and statement earrings.
It was black, white, and gray for Kendall Jenner, whose skinny-strapped Yigal Azrouël halter dress cut all the way up to her hips, showing off her black body suit underneath.
Also wearing a black gown with metallic accessories, Fergie stunned in a Halston Heritage gown as she oozed sex appeal with her thigh-high slit.
Rita Ora brought some serious color to the otherwise colorless carpet with this beautiful, yellow Zac Posen dress. She completed her elegant look with a vintage Swarovski clutch.
Jordin Sparks was everything right about sequins on the carpet in this Halston Heritage dress! The plunging neckline and thigh-high slit add some serious sex appeal to her look.
Nicki Minaj debuted a cutout Alexander Wang mini, giving off a bit of a sporty vibe. The high neckline balanced out the side cutouts in a very chic way, and she finished the look with a classic Manolo Blahnik pump.
J. Lo showed off her killer abs in her tied up Reem Acra dress with Christian Louboutin pumps.
Gigi Hadid added a bit of variety to the mix with her sexy Prabal Garung suit sans the shirt!
