E-COMMERCE INTERNSHIP – Summer 2014- NY, NY
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A!X Armani Exchange is the youthful label created by iconic Italian designer Giorgio Armani, offering men’s and women’s clothing and accessories that are inspired by the designer’s codes of style. Armani Exchange captures the heritage of the Armani brand through a modern sensibility.
A!X Armani Exchange is seeking talented students in the New York City area to be a part of our 2014 Summer Internship Program (June- August). A!X interns will have the opportunity to take advantage of our Enlightenment sessions, hands-on training, mentorship and exposure to all aspects of the fashion industry.
We are looking for creative, motivated students with strong organizational and communication skills, who are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience.
DESCRIPTION:
The E-Commerce Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Armani Exchange website. This includes the creative, technical, and marketing aspects of utilizing the Internet as another channel to distribute our product directly to
our clients. E-Commerce constantly explores new ways to provide the customer with a better and more efficient user experience, ensuring brand loyalty. Additional ongoing projects the department handles include internal marketing initiatives to improve the website aesthetically and functionally, comparative analysis for possible outlets of change and in-depth market research to enhance performance and generate sales.
Interns in the E-Commerce department may be asked to work on the following projects:
* Assist in the maintenance of the website by updating content and product information.
* Aid in the development process of the website.
* Aid in gathering and sorting of samples for photo shoots as well as interacting with and assisting the department at the photo shoots.
* Assist in various projects related to servicing our customers with the best possible online experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
All prospective interns for the E-Commerce team must meet the following minimum requirements.
* Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited college / university
* Students must have previous specialized coursework and/or specific majors
* A!X internships are unpaid and the student must be able to receive academic credit
* Students must be able to provide proof of academic credit.
* All students must be available at least 2 full days per week during the internship.
