We’re in the prime of summer- that means beach days, long nights and a killer wardrobe to perfectly compliment bronzed skin. However, with fall right around the corner it’s time to think about what we’ll be wearing as the weather cools down. There’s no better way to be fabulously efficient than to fixate on pieces that work for both seasons. We’ve compiled a list of closet essentials to make the summer to fall transition stylish (and cost-effective) as ever.

There’s no hiding the fact that suede has taken over runway trends this year. With the resurgence of the 70s this season, suede has become a rejoiced closet staple for 2015. Button front skirts have also re-marked their place in the fashion world. Topshop’s Suede Button Front A-Line Skirt ($140) combines the two trends with a tan suede finish on an a-line mini skirt with a popper button front. Match with a crop top for a simple and cute summer day look, or throw on some tights and a cashmere sweater when the weather begins to cool down.
