LOS ANGELES– Posh Point headed out to the Smog Shoppe last night for the launch party of the NEW Piperlime Collection, available online now! The latest collection was displayed on racks and was modeled inside the party for all of us to see. We asbolutely fell in love with all the pieces. We even had a chance to chat with supermodel, cook, and all-around cool girl, Chrissy Teigen and Piperlime’s new Director of Design and Trend, Jamie Lewin, about some of their favorite trends and must have pieces from the collection.
Interview with Chrissy Teigen
What is your favorite trend for this season?
It’s always such a weird question to answer because the trends that I love aren’t necessarily the trends that I could ever wear. I love people that are bold enough to have a dope trench, like that long jacket that just makes a statement. I love people that can wear gauchos or leather gauchos. I have no balls to do that kind of stuff, but those are things I think are very cool .
What is the one thing that you want everyone to stop wearing?
Those fucking Birkenstocks. I think, actually, that everyone looks cool in them but me. My feet are horrible, they’re triangular, they’re very illuminati-shaped. I have the worst feet and they don’t look good in Birkenstocks, and I just cannot do it. And the platform sandal!
What are your favorite pieces from the Piperline Collection?
Oh my god, the leopard coat, for sure! There’s a skirt actually- I’m known for very body conscious outfits- but this skirt is kind of a darker color that’s A-line that is beautiful.
Fall is here and Halloween is around the corner; what would you want to be for Halloween this year?
I don’t like to do the sexy thing. I hate when girls are like, “I’m a sexy cat”, “I’m a sexy cheerleader,” ” I’m a sexy pirate,” I had those years already. I like to be stupid. I like to look as dumb as possible. A few years ago, I was Toddlers and Tiaras but I didn’t wear Louboutins, I wore two inch, white closed-toe Toddlers and Tiaras shoes. When I get into Halloween, I get into it. I want to make sure that I’m something. The worst part is that all my
greatest Halloween ideas come around April and then I forget them by now so now I’ve forgotten all my ideas.
Is there any celebrity you would be?
I would have loved John and I to be denim Justin and Britney but we already had that with Katy and Rif Raf. Maybe Tiger Woods and the Perkins Girls.
What would you say is your number one fashion tip when someone is leaving the house?
I’m not going to go with the remove one accessory thing because everyone does that. Honestly, before I leave the house, I just make sure I have three things: perfume, deodorant, and concealer and that’s it. Those are the the three things that’ll get you through the day no matter what.
What are you wearing tonight?
Piperlime Collection for Piperlime and Schutz shoes. I’m fresh off vacation and I wanted black. I wanted something not so form-fitting because you know, after vacation you don’t really want pregnancy rumors to spread. We were in Paris and Italy and of course everyone thinks we’re pregnant now so I just gotta wear black. (laughs).
Interview with Jamie Lewin, Director of Designs and Trends at Piperlime
What was your inspiration for the Piperlime collection?
We timed this to launch with the relaunch of the brand and so we just wanted to hit every major trend for fall and have a really elevated, contemporary, aesthetic that really complemented all the other brands 
that we had on the site.
What are some of your favorite pieces from the collection?
The leopard coat. Also the coated shearling moto jacket which is amazing and looks like it’s $1000 but is actually 
$149.
What are some of your favorite trends that you see for spring?
Zimmerman was my all time favorite show of Fashion Week in New York. It was like this lorac shine, a lot of ruffles, really feminine, lace, gorgeous pastel colors, bohemian prints, everything was just super feminine, I loved it.
What is the price point for the new collection?
Everything is under $200 and the opening price point is $35.
