Iconic shoe designer, Manolo Blahnik and fierce recording artist Rihanna have come together to collaborate on a brilliant shoe collection.
“Fashion design?” Say no more, Rihanna is all in.
Just think—Blahnik’s classic sleek stiletto heels and Rihanna’s sexy and daring style, put all into one huge collaboration? It’s definitely going to be surreal and exciting.
Teaming up and uniting their ideas for the collection, Blahnik and Rihanna came up with “Denim Desserts”, a collection consisting of six astonishing, limited-edition styles of heels and boots. No surprise the collection is all made out of denim, Rihanna’s favorite.
“This is an incredibly exciting collaboration and I am absolutely thrilled with the results—working with Rihanna has been amazing and her drive, passion, creativity and style has been reflected in the designs with fabulous results,” Blahnik said. Rihanna invented a new item of clothing called “the heeled shoe pants”. Yes, they’re part shoes, part pants, with a belt, crystal embellishments, a high-heel and is entirely made out of denim. “Guuurllll! Those boots are dangerous! If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots! You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are troubled,” said the singer herself jokingly.
The collection will be available to purchase in stores starting May 5 in New York City, London, and Hong Kong, with retail pricing from $895 to $3,995.
Denim Desserts varies from strappy stilettos to the jarring “9-to-5” boot. Of course, with a partnership between Blahnik and Rihanna, you are bound to get something that is stylish, but still with excellent quality and design. The collection itself features denim, sequins, embroidery, and crystals.
So hold your horses, we are all excited, but know that Rihanna did say there will only be a limited amount. “There will only be 45 pairs . . . because they are very expensive to make.” Mark your calendars, shoe-lovers, as this amazing collection awaits us all!
