| Since inception in 2002 AKIRA has quickly grown to be Chicago’s hottest fashion trendsetter carrying our very own AKIRA line as well as designers from all over the world. With 18 stores, in Chicago and Chicagoland, and an online fashion emporium we are looking to continue to grow and expand our business. We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Buyer to join our team and help “blow AKIRA up”! This individual will research the marketplace for trends, products, and designers in order to continue our growth, drive our business, and take us to the next level. There is a lot of potential career growth in this position for the right person.*This position will be located in LA and report to the Chicago Office.*Responsibilities: Coordinate with Buying Team on current and upcoming trends Identify trends/pieces/merchandise currently lacking in our stores Proficiency in excel is a must (order entry) Facilitate special orders when needed Must be able to work independently Provide clear communication both written and verbally Assist a team of high level buyers Effectively execute new product negotiations, product files, and vendor contracts Help Buying Team develop strategies for merchandise in regards to sales history, competition, new products/trends, and new category opportunities Able to make quick and smart decisions Qualifications: |
